WHO WE ARE

Our Mission

Providing the highest quality substance use disorder services for youth and adults in Monterey and San Benito Counties.

our vision

Valley Health Associates (VHA)is a non-profit organization whose focus is to promote recovery and wellness through healthy and productive lifestyle changes while using a whole-person approach to care. VHA utilizes Medication Assisted treatment and other evidence-based methods in a safe, caring, and supportive environment either on-site or through our mobile clinic.

Valley Health Associates is pioneering a transformative "whole-person, whole-family, whole-community" approach to substance use treatment.

To achieve long-term wellness, as recommended in the article Defining Autonomy in Psychiatry (Frontiers in Psychiatry), we aim to facilitate the restoration of autonomy in individuals recovering from substance use disorder (SUD). SUD often robs or undermines a patient’s personal autonomy, which is crucial for living a meaningful life of their own making. By integrating new complementary treatment components, participants can self-select activities and practices that are personally meaningful to them, thus fostering a sense of control and self-determination.
